Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 14 March 2025
Thank you for using Textly. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how information is handled and protected.
1. Screen recording permission
Textly asks for screen-recording permission. It uses this permission to take screenshots when the user triggers Capture Text.
2. Information We Collect
Textly does not store screenshots or send them to an outside server. Captured text is stored in the app sandbox so it can appear in Recents, and it is not shared with third parties. Clipboard history is always enabled in this version and is stored locally on the device. Anonymous crash reports and usage statistics may be collected through Apple’s App Store analytics and do not personally identify users.
3. How We Use Your Information
Information is used to provide text capture and clipboard management, improve performance and stability through crash analytics, and support a smooth experience without requiring an internet connection.
4. Data Storage & Security
There is no cloud storage. Captured text and clipboard history remain on your device. Textly does not use third-party analytics or tracking tools. Clipboard history can be cleared through the app.
5. Third-Party Services
Textly does not share your data with third parties. Captured URLs that you choose to open are handled by your default browser and are then subject to that browser’s privacy policies.
6. Your Privacy Choices
You can clear clipboard history at any time and restrict relevant system permissions, although doing so may limit application functionality.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the app and on the website. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
