1. How do I capture text using Textly?
Simply click the ‘Capture Text’ button or use the shortcut key ’Cmd+Shift+2’ to start capturing. Click and drag to select the area around the text you want to extract. The text is instantly copied to your clipboard!
You can customize the keyboard shortcut in the app’s settings.
2. Where is my captured text stored?
All captured text is saved directly to your clipboard and remains accessible in your clipboard history within Textly. You can paste it anywhere using Cmd+V
3. Does Textly store my captured text on the cloud?
No, Textly does not sync or store any data on cloud servers. Everything is saved locally on your device.
4. Can I search my clipboard history?
Yes, you can access and search your clipboard history within the app to find previously captured text.
5. Can Textly recognize and open URLs?
Yes, if Textly detects a URL during text capture, it provides an option to open it in your default browser.
6. How do I clear my clipboard history?
You can manually clear your clipboard history one by one by clicking on the ‘X’ button when you hover on intended text or clear all at a time by pressing ‘Clear Clipboard History’ within Textly app.
7. Does Textly work with QR codes?
Yes, Textly can extract and open URLs embedded in QR codes, along with any other text detected in the QR image.
8. Can I disable clipboard history?
No, in this version, clipboard history is always enabled to enhance user productivity. We will provide this in upcoming updates
